Clearance Warning Buzzer Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The clearance warning buzzer is installed in the accessory meter.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1.

INSPECT FUSE (ECU-IG No. 1)

(a) Remove the ECU-IG No. 1 fuse from the main body ECU.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

Tester Connection

Condition

Specified Condition

ECU-IG No. 1 fuse

Always

Below 1 Ω

(c) Install the fuse.

OK

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ACCESSORY METER ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the I22 accessory meter assembly connector.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

Tester Connection

Switch Condition

Specified Condition

I22-23 (IG) - Body ground

Ignition switch ON

11 to 14 V

(c) Reconnect the accessory meter assembly connector.

OK

3.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ACCESSORY METER ASSEMBLY - CLEARANCE WARNING ECU)

(a) Disconnect the H43 clearance warning ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the I22 accessory meter assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

Tester Connection

Condition

Specified Condition

H43-12 (BBZ) - I22-11 (BZ)

Always

Below 1 Ω

H43-12 (BBZ) - Body ground

Always

10 kΩ or higher

(d) Reconnect the clearance warning ECU connector.

(e) Reconnect the accessory meter assembly connector.

OK

4.

REPLACE ACCESSORY METER ASSEMBLY

(a) Replace the accessory meter assembly with a normally functioning or new accessory meter assembly METER / GAUGE / DISPLAY: ACCESSORY METER: REMOVAL (2008 Sequoia) .

(b) Check that the accessory meter buzzer operates normally.

OK:

Accessory meter buzzer operates normally.
